Committee for 2021
As many people will be aware, 2020 was the 60th anniversary for TCSC and unfortunately we were unable to follow through with our planned celebrations because of COVID restrictions. Nevertheless, the club continues to thrive and attract new members and its good to see new families joining the club and enjoying all it has to offer. As a members club and since its humble beginnings, it has operated and developed through the efforts of its members, the clubhouse and slipways were constructed by founder members and even today, despite using contractors for major projects there are many unsung heroes who devote their spare time and work tirelessly to make the facility look good and operate (under normal conditions) a full service of food, drinks, entertainment and water based sporting activities for the members.

The club cannot function without its flag officers and committee and in recent times it has become harder to attract new committee members with progression to flag officer positions. This not only places an additional burden on the existing committee but also stifles the influx of new blood and new ideas for how the club could continue to develop. For 2021 the club is looking for several flag officer and committee positions including Commodore, Vice Commodore, Sailing Secretary and Social Secretary. Committee work in general is not time consuming, is a team sport and can be rewarding. Your sailing club needs you. It needs you as a member but also as a volunteer to help run the club and govern its operation. Without your help the club cannot be what it should be – a safe, well organized, well presented sporting location where, whether competing in weekly races, having a leisurely sail or enjoying a drink and admiring the view can be the best it can.
